Interestingly in earlier seasons they only drew the boys' nipples and never the girls', even when they were both topless in the same episode, but it seems they were no longer concerned about it by later seasons. Chen would also always wear a one-piece when swimming indoors, only going bare-chested when outside.
Additionally, in the comics Chen always a one piece outside or even a bikini top.
